The high altitude offers a breathtaking panoramic view on the surrounding relief and especially on Mont Ventoux.

As you stay in a rest house, a self-catering lodge, or from stop to stop and during your daily walks, you will be guided by cicadas, lavender and broom fragrances in summer, and juniper or mushrooms perfumes in autumn.

Come and discover the Baronnies region, its unexpected highlands and hilly landscapes that make the hikes here so special.

Discover new sceneries as you get over a new pass… the average difference in altitude is between 550 and 650 yards.

Half way between the heart of the Baronnies’ region (with its future Natural Park) and the foot of Southern Prealps, the setting is remarkable. Mediterranean and alpine characteristics merge… which is significant in fauna, flora and climate.

Highlands after valleys, landscapes interchange and alternate with wild and cultivated areas of lavender, wheat, small spelt wheat, vine…

Provence’s perched villages punctuate this scenery and give an attractive taste to your walks.

The Mediterranean climate offers hot, dry summers in contrast with severe, dry winters. Rain only comes a few days in spring and autumn.

On this exceptional territory where the density of population is low, fauna and flora are rich.

The village of Arpavon, hanging on the hill, is very typical.

Situated 2 miles away from the village, the lodge offers an interesting location. Higher in altitude of almost one mile, summer nights are more fresh and favourable for good night’s sleep.

However, during the day, Provence’s heat will accompany you!
